I think I must be the quintessential Actor/Manager.

There can't be many actors who have enjoyed being on stage in DANNY THE CHAMPION OF THE WORLD as much as I did for the last three weeks, who would also be so happy to be back in the office in Regent Street to pull together the organisation required for our next four productions.

What do the office tasks involve? Finalising the poster for TREASURE ISLAND (and a great poster it is too!) pushing through the marketing plans for TREASURE, OTHELLO and DANNY, sorting out budgets, beginning the casting for TREASURE - it's the whole shabang!

Next week it's back on stage in Nottingham with DANNY before a final performance as Dad in Richmond on 19th June. Will you be there?

I always love being involved in all sides of productions, when possible. It gives you a real sense of the production as a whole, not to mension it brings everyone together, actors, managers, front of house etc.

During the rehearsals for The Wind in the Willows last christmas, i was rehearsing toad during the day and then would pop over to the workshop for a few hours to help make puppets and paint things. and at weekends i would help give out flyers and sell tickets, and it was lovely because not only did it mean i could use other skills i have but it also meant i got to work with other departments on the same prodcution.... but i am also a workaholic.

Guys - Actor Manager, Producer - running the whole shebang yourself has to be the way forward in the current market... just ask William Shakespeare ;-)

Ps. Good to see you are back blogging Neal.. I have been checking out your blog on and off recently and thought you must have skipped the country or been "taken out" by the Behzti boys.

Sometimes I have nothing to say.

People who know me well will find this hard to believe - but it does occasionally happen!
